Step-by-Step:
Most projects start with a basic design remit from the architect. This initial information may include site photographs, sketches, drawings, base product dimensions, and a description of the required design style. At this early stage, we can prepare a baseline proposal from which we will build your ideal specification.
As the project progresses, we’ll require architectural design drawings and a firm specification. We will conduct a site survey at the earliest opportunity to agree upon the final platform lift design. This step enables the architect to issue accurate set-out site drawings for the building company, including any necessary pit details. Materials and luxury finishes such as glass, timber, stone, bronze, and brass will be finalised.
Once a final instruction has been received, our design team will issue the detailed platform lift drawings for your review and approval, a process that can take several weeks. Once the drawings are approved, the design is passed to our factory for production.
Each unique Lyfthaus platform lift is hand-crafted by expert craftsmen at our boutique Cambridge factory. Depending on the complexity of your custom specifications, the build is generally 14–16 weeks.
